What is the difference between Google calendar reminders and Google calendar notifications? Are they migrated?
Google calendar reminders:
These are a new type of event from Google. They are reminders for tasks, and contain no attendees.
They are a new feature that integrates a users' Google calendar and To-Do list, by way of reminders.
Reminders remain in your Google Calendar until the task is accomplished.
More information about Google reminders can be found in the official Google blog post. You will find it here.
Google calendar reminders do not get migrated.
Google calendar notifications:
These are desktop pop-ups that alert you about upcoming meetings that are scheduled in your Google calendar.
Events and their corresponding notifications are deleted irrespective of whether the event was attended or not.
Google calendar notifications do get migrated.
