What do I do if my Public Folders are inaccessible after DeploymentPro Outlook configuration?
Users are unable to access Public Folders in Outlook after configuring Outlook with DeploymentPro. This issue affects the Outlook 2010, 2013, and 2016 email clients.
On the computer experiencing the problem, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Close Outlook.
- Open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover\
Note: In this registry path, x.0 corresponds to the version of Outlook being used. Replace the x.0 with 14.0 for Outlook 2010, 15.0 for Outlook 2013, or 16.0 for Outlook 2016.
- Select ExcludeHttpRedirect and change the value from 1 to 0.
- Click OK.
- Close the Registry Editor and restart Outlook.
Note: You can perform this action in bulk via a Group Policy Object (GPO) or by deploying a .reg file to the affected users. Read the TechNet article Configure a Registry Item to learn more about editing the registry using a GPO. Read the Microsoft article How to add, modify, or delete registry subkeys and values by using a .reg file to learn more about .reg files.
