    1. Is this limitation "Due to a bug in EWS, if you try to create a non-email item within those folders, it reports an error stating: "the item type does not match the folder type"." still applicable to the latest version.

    2. Therefore, all the special Litigation Hold items (whose type is not email) fail to migrate due to a known limitation in EWS (which is what MigrationWiz uses for migrations, when migrating from Exchange 2007+ as the source).

If we are moving from one O365 tenant to another, (not involving Exchange 2007), is this applicable?

What are the other restrictions in the scenario of migrating from one O365 tenant to another, with the whole mailbox on litigation hold?

    Abdul,
We have a work card with our developers to look at this capability and see if it can be added for Office 365 to Office 365 migrations. Sorry but this is a limitation of MigrationWiz with Office 365 to Office 365 migrations as well. Other item types would not be supported at this time. The only items that would be supported are items that match the folder type.

    Thanks

    Kyle
