How are Public Folder migrations priced out?
There are two options available when pricing out your Public Folder migration projects:
Option 1: You can migrate all of the Public Folders from your Source Exchange 2007+ server, from the root level down.
In this case, you will be billed for the total volume of your Public Folders.
In order to add the root public folder to your migration, simply enter a single forward slash ("/") and all Public Folders below that will be migrated.
For exact steps, refer to KB004863.
Option 2: You can use Autodiscover to import your Public Folders from your Source Exchange 2007+ server.
In this case, you can pick and choose which Public Folders to migrate, by clicking on the checkbox next to the Public Folder name. However, you will be billed for each top-level folder that is migrated.
Select Add > Autodiscover > Start Autodiscover > refresh button > Import items to autodiscover your Public Folders that are on your Source Exchange 2007+ server.
For exact steps, refer to: KB004915.
Note: If you are unclear on what constitutes a top-level Public Folder, refer to this article for more information: KB004863.
