How do I get a list of users and groups from Active Directory when the Source is Exchange 2003?
Note: This article pertains to our UserActivation product only. It is only relevant when your Source email platform environment is Exchange 2003, and you have selected to perform a user and/or distribution list discovery. When this/these are selected, you need to upload your Active Directory content by following the steps below.
1. Log in to your Active Directory server.
2. Create a temp folder in C:\
3. On the start menu, click on Run.
4. Enter cmd.exe
5. Enter cd C:\temp
6. Enter the command line: CSVDE -f-u MyUsersAndGroups.csv -r "(|(objectClass=user)(objectClass=group))"
This command line will output a CSV file named MyUsersAndGroups.csv, located in C:\temp. This will contain a list of all users and groups from your Active Directory. You will then upload the CSV file into UserActivation to import users, distribution lists, and aliases.
