Important: We are no longer supporting Enterprise Vault migrations using in-flight stub rehydration. This documentation is available only for reference purposes; it will be archived soon.
What are the archive extractor CSV log files for in-flight stub rehydration?
This “users” CSV log file contains a list of the archived mailboxes that were successfully identified between Enterprise Vault and Active Directory.
This “failed users” CSV log file contains a list of the archived mailboxes that failed to identify between Enterprise Vault and Active Directory.
Note: Failures are typically because the archive extractor could not find an entry in Active Directory that matches the archived mailbox’s X.400 address in Enterprise Vault, or the archive extractor found an entry in Active Directory but the entry’s primary email address attribute is blank.
Share both CSV log files with your customer and discuss the available options. The customer can choose to provide the required information to take corrective action, or ignore the failed users, in which case those archived mailboxes are not migrated and their X.400 addresses are not mapped to SMTP.
Note: Read the In-Flight Stub Rehydration Overview article to learn more about how the extractor agent and MigrationWiz work in tandem. Also read the How do I migrate archived email using in-flight stub rehydration? article for full instructions on how to migrate a mailbox using in-flight stub rehydration and deploy the archive extractor.
Open the archive extractor CSV log files and take corrective action
Important: Complete these steps before starting the mailbox migration. Failure to complete these steps will cause the mailbox migration to fail if it is in progress.
- In MigrationWiz, run Verify Credentials for the mailbox migration project with in-flight stub rehydration.
- Once the Verify Credentials completes, shut down the archive extractor application that is running on the Source environment.
- Browse to this directory on the machine running the archive extractor:
Note: <user> is the signed-in Windows user account under which the archive extractor is running.
- Email Address
Enter the mailbox’s email address.
- Alternate Email Addresses
Enter the mailbox’s alias, if any. If there are multiple aliases, separate each email address with a vertical bar symbol (shift+\).
Enter the mailbox’s LegacyExchangeDN.
- Display Name
Enter the mailbox’s display name.
Note: When saving the CSV file, you may be notified that some features in the workbook might be lost if you save it as a CSV file. Click Yes to save the file.
