Error: Failed to create items in folder Inbox. Error: ErrorNameResolutionNoResults
When migrating to Amazon WorkMail, any mail messages containing addresses that cannot be resolved on the Destination will generate this error message. These errors will be reported in your MigrationWiz dashboard, under the Errors column.
This will not affect your migration, since MigrationWiz contains logic to replace any unknown address with the following address: 'email@example.com'.
- The UPN field is not modified, so will contain the original name.
- Any messages with x400 addresses will also be replaced with 'firstname.lastname@example.org'.
If a migration fails because there are too many errors, follow these steps:
Set the following MigrationWiz project Advanced Options:
Under Maintenance, checkmark the option Log subjects of failed items KB004404.
Under Performance, increase the value of Maximum errors per migration to a higher number (e.g., 500).
Restart your migration.
Review the errors and troubleshoot accordingly.
