HealthCheck for Microsoft 365

HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 is a migration readiness tool that assesses customer computers for compatibility with Microsoft 365. No license is required for this product, as it is a module of the Device Management Agent (DMA), which is included with MSPComplete. The assessment runs automatically once DMA is running. Computers may be used while this scan is running. 

What does HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 do?

HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 reports on the following compatibility points:

  • Operating system version
  • Disk space (free and used)
  • CPU profile
  • Memory availability
  • Network bandwidth
  • Web browser version
  • Microsoft Office client versions

BitTitan HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 is a service module in MSPComplete that assesses customer computers for compatibility with Microsoft 365. HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 reports on the following compatibility points:

  • Operating system version
  • Free disk space
  • CPU
  • Memory
  • Network bandwidth
  • Web browser version
  • Office client versions

 

  • To view a more detailed report of a computer’s compatibility with Microsoft 365, click on the pie chart icon (pie.png).
  • You must install the Device Management Agent (DMA) on customer computers for the HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 assessment to run. Read the What is Device Management? article to learn more about Device Management and DMA.

Once DMA is installed, the customer computers are listed in the HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 overview page and a compatible (  ) or incompatible (  ) icon is shown for each of the following categories:

  • Compatible with Microsoft 365 Clients: Identifies if the computer’s installed versions of the Microsoft clients (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are compatible with Microsoft 365. Compatible Microsoft clients include the latest versions of Office and Office 2013.
  • Compatible with Microsoft 365 Web Apps: Identifies if the computer’s installed browsers are compatible with Microsoft 365. Compatible browsers include Internet Explorer (versions 10 and 11) and all the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
  • Compatible with Microsoft Office ProPlus: Identifies if the computer’s specifications (operating system, CPU, memory, free disk space, etc.) are equal to or greater than the minimum system requirements for Office ProPlus.

Important: If the customer’s computers are labeled as incompatible in any of the categories indicated above, advise the customer to upgrade their computers before migrating to Office 365. View HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 Assessment

Complete these steps from MSPComplete to view the HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 overview assessment for a customer:

  1. Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click All Customers in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click the name of a customer for which you want to view computers.
  3. Click the Manage button in the top right corner of the page, and then select Device Management.
  4. Click HealthCheck for Office 365 in the left navigation pane.
  5. The report will show whether each computer is compatible with the various forms of Microsoft 365.  

If any computers are incompatible, we recommend advising the customer to update their computer to the minimum system requirements for Microsoft 365. 

For a more detailed report, follow the steps below from MSPComplete

  1. Select the appropriate workgroup, and then click All Customers in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click the name of a customer for which you want to view computers.
  3. Click the Manage button in the top right corner of the page, and then select Device Management.
  4. Click HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 in the left navigation pane.
  5. Click the pie chart icon (hc4o36503.png) for one of the computers listed.

Missing Computers

If you are missing computers from your HealthCheck for Microsoft 365 overview, you may not have the Device Management Agent (DMA) installed on all computers. DMA can be installed on customer computers by sending an email request, or through a Group Policy Object (recommended). Visit our DMA section, under Start with BitTitan --> Products & Tools, to learn more about DMA.
