Introduction to Voleer

What is Voleer?

Voleer is a BitTitan product that offers reports, assessments, and IT automation to manage your technology to assess usage and adoption, establish governance, optimize costs and more.

With Voleer, you can scope your migration, estimate required licenses, and identify potential issues, all with little to no effort. The Migration Discovery and Scoping solution, powered by Voleer, was developed specifically for MigrationWiz customers to help prepare for licensing, scheduling, and resource allocation. With a quick snapshot of the team and channel count and the total amount of data, you’ll see an estimate of the number of licenses needed for migration. You can leverage detailed information for additional insight s like channel and file structure, permission settings, compliance policies, and more.

This assessment will provide information, including:

  • An estimate o f the number of licenses and the total cost for your MigrationWiz migration
  • The number of public and private teams and channels and their owners
  • The amount of usage and file storage consumption
  • Users out of compliance, based on company policies

Microsoft 365 Tenant Migration Assessment

Ensure a smooth migration by assessing your Microsoft 365 tenant environment for visibility into the size and complexity of mailboxes, OneDrive For Business, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Public Folders, and more.

Instead of manually pulling data by each workload, an assessment will provide you with a dashboard to see the source environment at a high-level and a detailed breakdown by workload.

Generate a comprehensive report on the selected domains to analyze:

  • User, non-user, archive, on-hold, and inactive mailboxes
  • Mailbox permissions
  • Organizational contacts
  • Distribution and dynamic distribution groups
  • Security groups and mail-enabled security groups
  • SharePoint Online security groups
  • OneDrive For Business
  • SharePoint Online classic sites
  • Microsoft 365 unified groups
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Public Folders

To review the permissions required to run the assessment, please see this article on the Voleer community.

Microsoft 365 User Migration Assessment

Instead of pulling report s one at a time in Microsoft 365, an assessment will provide you with a dashboard to see a high-level overview of the source environment, as well as a detailed breakdown by user.

For mailboxes larger than 50G, you could be close to Microsoft’s data storage limits, which could cause issues during migration. Quickly identify those potential pitfalls with a list of user mailboxes and their storage size.

Generate a comprehensive report analyzing:

  • User, non-user, archive, on-hold, and inactive mailboxes
  • Microsoft 365 available and applied licenses
  • OneDrive for Business
  • Additional tenant objects associated with the users including distribution groups, security groups, and more

To review the permissions required to run the assessment, please see this article on the Voleer community.

SharePoint Online Migration Assessment

A high-level overview in the dashboard shows the number of document libraries and sites that will be migrated. A detailed breakdown will help you create your MigrationWiz projects easily and avoid common mistakes during migration, like missing some of the document libraries and mailboxes associated with unified groups in the source environment.

Analyze data across Microsoft 365 to generate a report detailing information including:

  • Classic SharePoint Online sites, subsites, and all their document libraries
  • Microsoft 365 Unified Group mailboxes, sites, subsites, and all their document libraries
  • SharePoint Online Security Groups

To review the permissions required to run the assessment, please see this article on the Voleer community.

Microsoft 365 Public Folder Migration Assessment

The assessment will provide you with a dashboard to see a high-level overview of the source environment, as well as a detailed breakdown, including the structure of your subtree and root folders. You can then decide how you want to map your folders or convert them to Exchange Online shared mailboxes.

This template produces a Microsoft 365 assessment on:

  • Domains added to the Microsoft 365 tenant
  • Microsoft 365 Public Folders
  • Mail-enabled Public Folders
  • MigrationWiz licenses required to migrate

To review the permissions required to run the assessment, please see this article on the Voleer community.
