Microsoft is deprecating Basic Authentication effective October 1, 2022. If you have a project where the Microsoft Exchange Online Source or Destination is not set up to use Modern Authentication, please follow these steps outlined under Enabling Modern Authentication in this KB article: Authentication Methods. Be aware your migration may stall or fail for mailbox, archive mailbox or public folder projects if your authentication method is not addressed.
If you are using or plan to use DeploymentPro in conjunction with a MigrationWiz project and Modern Authentication please follow these steps in this KB article: Installing DeploymentPro with MFA or 2-Factor Authentication Enabled.
NOTE:
Through a request to Microsoft, M365 Tenants will be allowed to re-enable the Basic Authentication protocol once between October 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022. In the event you need this protocol to facilitate your migration, please follow the steps provided by Microsoft in the following article to make this request.
