We're excited to announce new features for Teams Private Chat migrations in MigrationWiz:

Subsequent Migration Passes
MigrationWiz users can now perform multi-pass migrations without duplicating previously migrated data. MigrationWiz will identify and transfer only new messages added since the last migration pass for both new and existing chats. The multi-pass functionality integrates with existing MigrationWiz workflows, requiring no additional configuration from users. -
Regional Control
Teams Private Chat migrated data is now automatically identifying the optimal region for migrations. Compliance with data residency requirements could now be handled without the need for technical intervention or complex setup processes. MigrationWiz routes the migrated data to the correct location, without requiring additional configuration from users, aligning with Multi-Geo capabilities in Microsoft Teams. -
IP Lockdown
MigrationWiz users can now utilize IP-based restrictions, allowing access only from whitelisted IP addresses during Teams Private Chat migrations. This feature provides an additional layer of security, ensuring that migration processes are initiated only from authorized networks. -
Simplified Migration Project Setup
We’ve introduced a new feature that allows MigrationWiz users to clone existing migration projects and redirect them to new endpoints. Using this enhancement, administrators can duplicate project settings with a single action, reducing setup time, while providing the flexibility to test alternative configurations quickly and efficiently. -
Simplified Migration Project Troubleshooting
As part of the recent product enhancements, we’ve introduced advanced troubleshooting capabilities that empower the MigrationWiz support team to deliver greater precision and efficiency to our customers. With newly integrated diagnostic features, the MigrationWiz support team can now pinpoint migration challenges, dramatically reduce resolution times, and provide highly targeted assistance for even the most complex Teams Private Chat migration scenarios.
Automated Region Selection
MigrationWiz now features an intelligent region detection mechanism for Microsoft destination tenants, automatically identifying the optimal region for migrations. This automation enhances migration speed and performance, reducing delays and ensuring a more efficient migration experience for MigrationWiz users.
Enhanced Action Log with Retry Error Logging
We’ve expanded the Action Log feature to include entries for "Start Retry Errors." This enhancement provides increased transparency and tracking for retry operations, ensuring greater visibility into migration activities.
Enhancing SharePoint Site Provisioning for Teams Private Channels
We’ve implemented enhancements to improve the reliability and monitoring of SharePoint site provisioning for Teams private channels. These updates ensure better logging and proactive management of provisioning delays, providing a more streamlined migration process.
Improved Accuracy in SharePoint Metadata Migration
We’ve resolved an issue that caused unexpected column duplication during SharePoint metadata migrations. This update ensures smoother and more consistent migrations.
Empowering Flexibility with Modern Authentication Bypass
We’ve introduced a bypass feature that allows projects to be created without verifying modern authentication credentials under specific circumstances. This feature offers flexibility for handling tenant restrictions while ensuring secure project creation workflows.
