What’s New in MigrationWiz?
Graph API Transition for Retired Azure Modules
MigrationWiz now fully supports Microsoft Graph PowerShell, replacing all deprecated Azure AD and MSOnline PowerShell modules. This critical upgrade enhances platform security, ensures long-term compatibility, and delivers a more reliable migration experience across workloads, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365 Tenant-to-Tenant scenarios.
Active Directory Migration
MigrationWiz users can now define the destination UPN suffix for Active Directory migrations at the project creation stage. This feature provides greater visibility into the final UPN format before initiating the first migration pass, helping prevent misconfigurations and ensuring smoother transitions when writing objects to the destination AD.
Optimized Memory Management for Document Migrations
Improvements to resource handling enhance migration performance and reliability. Updates ensure proper disposal of processes, reducing memory consumption and preventing failures due to out-of-memory exceptions.
Expanded Migration Support for Google Drive to SharePoint Online
We’ve enhanced migration flexibility by enabling SharePoint Online as a destination when migrating from Google Drive. This update streamlines project setup, allowing direct migrations without workarounds.
Improved Handling of Special Characters in Google Drive to OneDrive Migrations
We’ve refined file name processing to prevent migration failures caused by incomplete character removals. Truncation logic now correctly processes Unicode surrogate pairs, ensuring special characters at the end of file names don’t disrupt migrations. These improvements enhance reliability when applying the ShrinkFoldersMaxLength option, providing a smoother and more consistent migration experience.
Expanded Domain Support for Azure AD Migrations
Enhancements to domain recognition ensure the AD Agent now correctly identifies and processes all top-level domains (TLDs), improving compatibility for accounts beyond previously supported TLDs for a more seamless migration experience.
End of Life Support for Dropbox, Lotus Notes, and GroupWise
